This video shows how I connect HRD and WSJT-X with JTAlert and Grid Tracker. Using IC7300 set for 2% to output 1 Watt into a Delta Loop antenna. The JTAlert and Grid Tracker are great compliments to WSJT-X. One watt does work but it is a struggle to make contact. Maybe it was just the weather or the antenna or the geo-magnetic conditions that not too many heard me. Better luck next time.
This video show some of the key software connections needed to use JTAlert for audio and GridTracker for visual displays of QSO data. Multiple instances of WSJT-X, Ham Radio Deluxe Rig Control and HRD Logbook. I use two monitors but, I am recording only one monitor. I drag from the second monitor windows that need to be displayed. I am using an IC7300 radio feeding a Delta Loop antenna. The IC7300 power is set to about 9% which gives me 5 watts out. There are other ways of connecting the software packages that also work.
This video is how I connected WSJT-X, JTAlert, Grid Tracker, Ham Radio Deluxe and HRD Logbook to receive FT4. I am using an IC7300 with 5 watts out. One contact is made– WA to AZ. The visual map of Grid Tracker and the audio of the JTAlert adds more enjoyment to getting those QSOs.
