XIEGU X6100

FT8 QSO-20m-N4ZZ

X6100 – FT8 QSO – 20m – N4ZZ contact

A quick QSO with N4ZZ on 20M using FT8. Ziegu X6100 on external PS. WSJT-X, JTAlert and Grid Tracker.

FT8 QSO-20m-KR0P

Using my little X6100 with 5 watts out on 20m I made contact using WSJT-X FT8. Adding to the entertainment value I use JTAlert and GridTracker for audio and visual enhancement. KR0P and KJ7BJZ are my contacts.

FT8 QSO-20m-NK3L

In this video I make a 5 watt QSO in FT8 using WSJT-X, Grid Tracker, JTAlert and the X6100 transceiver. I have modified my drawing to display the Virtual Audio cables more clearly. Multicast IP is used to connect both JTAlert and GridTracker. JTAlert controls the HRD Logbook entries. The duplicate log entry in HRD Logbook was caused by checking the Secondary server in WSJT-X.

X6100 - FT8 QSO - JTDX-5W-20m - RX3ASQ

Using the X6100 with about 4.5 watts out. QSO on 20m with FT8. I load both JTDX and WSJT-X to compare the sensitivity and decode speed. JTAlert and Grid Tracker working together for visuals. Ham Radio Deluxe doing the CAT mediation for JTDX and WSJT-X. Virtual Audio cables for the audio feeds into JTDX and WSJT-X.

FT8 QSO-20m-K1BMW

I changed the screen layout to get a bigger X6100 display. WSJT-X is connected directly to the X6100. Audio repeaters and analyzers keep an eye on the IN/OUT audio of WSJT-X. X6100 has external power supply and it is set for 5 watts out. The X6100 is set for USB. Made one QSO on 20m with FT8. Try and adjust the X6100 for ALC of 100 to get about 4.7 watts out.

FT8 QSO-20m-N7TTA

I set the X6100 to USB and 5 watts. Grid Tracker and JTAlert are connected to WSJT-X via a MultiCast IP. I use HRD Logbook for logging. The audio In/Out of WSJT-X is fed thru two audio repeaters via virtual audio cables. Two audio spectrum analyzers are used to monitor the In/Out audio signal by tapping onto the virtual audio cables. I make two FT8 QSO and log them into HRD Logbook and auto upload.

FT4 QSO-20m-N9BQA

Using a Ziegu X6100 set for 5 watts I have a QSO with N9BQA on 20m using FT4. Software programs used are WSJT-X, JTAlert and GridTracker. I noticed the X6100 with FW 1.1.6 now accepts WSJT-X command to set it to U-DIG, before V1.1.6 it would reset to USB. HRD Logbook used for logging.

FT4 QSO-40m - N5RN and N7UVH

I am using JTDX to generate FT4. Radio is X6100 set for USB 40m with 5w out. JTAlert and GridTracker. HRD Logbook for logging. FT4 cycles every 7.5 seconds. I made two QSOs on 40m. The QSO is over before you can blink. Lots of open space for FT4 stations.
